Outstanding student candidates for ARCS Foundation Awards are recommended by the deans and department chairs of their respective institutions. Final selection of ARCS Foundation Scholars is determined over the spring by the partner universities. All award recipients must be United States citizens with high scholastic standing who are conducting academically compelling research, demonstrate real financial need, and express the goal of making a contribution to their communities and society in general. Scholars are selected without regard to race, gender or religious preference.
