April 27th, 2020 is an amazing day. What I used to call a red letter day when I was growing up. Members of ARCS, particularly from the Northern California Chapter, and invited guests will get to interact with over 70 scholars. The fabulous setting at Robertson Auditorium - Rutter Center, 1675 Owens St., San Francisco will be used to host the following
-Talking and interacting with NCC ARCS scholars from six distinguished universities, these folks are the minds and employees of the future
-Visuals and often intriguing data and perspectives displayed in a succinct fashion on their visual aid of posters
-Food and drinks that provide the vibes of being on a town square interacting with what I consider one of the most important communities around – Scientists!!!!
-Six featured speakers from the scholars covering a riveting range of topics
The symposium will also feature a guest speaker on climate change, Ben Houlton PhD, Director of the John Muir Institute of the Environment at UC Davis. His research and experiences provide a thoughtful narrative and cogent insights on climate change.
